A dictionary earns trust by showing its mistakes. This page lists every meaning we have found wrong and replaced: 1,749 so far. Each row shows what the word page said before and what it says now, with a link to the page. Nothing is ever removed from this log.
Why so many at once
Most rows come from one review. Part of the dictionary was built by inverting an open English–Malayalam word list (Olam) into Malayalam headwords. A loose translation in that direction can become a wrong definition in the other, so in September 2026 an editor read through the 7,185 most-viewed single-meaning entries of that kind, one by one, and corrected the ones that were wrong. Entries whose headword itself was not a real word were removed from the review rather than re-glossed and are being taken down separately. The method is described on the methodology page.
Report a mistake
Every word page has a “Report a correction” control. Reports go to a person, not a bot, and a fix normally ships within a day of being confirmed. You can also write to us through the contribute page.
