Terms of use
A free reference, offered in good faith. Use it, learn from it, and please use it in the spirit below.
Free to use
You may read, search, and share the dictionary for your own use, at no cost and without an account.
No responsibility for errors
We do our best, but the dictionary is provided “as is”. Entries are imported from open public sources and enriched with automated tools, and they may contain mistakes, omissions, or outdated usage. We make no warranty of accuracy, completeness, or fitness for any purpose, and we accept no responsibility or liability for any error, or for any loss or decision made in reliance on the content. Please verify anything important, and tell us what's wrong so we can fix it.
Reusing the content
The word meanings are derived from Wiktionary, and that source content carries its own open licence (CC BY-SA) wherever it goes, so those public sources are open to you, exactly as they were to us. Go to them directly.
What we have added (the curation, the generated inflection tables, the way it's explained, and this site itself) is our own work and effort. Please don't scrape or mirror this website wholesale, or republish it in a way that simply duplicates what we've built and undermines the project. If you want to build something on top of the open data, you're very welcome to, but add your own value; don't just copy ours. Heavy automated scraping that degrades the service for other people is not permitted.
Supporting the project
Running and growing this takes time and money. We may offer a voluntary way to support it (for example a “buy me a coffee” link). Any such contribution is voluntary and non-refundable, and is handled by a third-party provider under their own terms.
Feedback
Feedback and criticism are genuinely welcome. The dictionary gets better because people tell us what's off. Reach us through the contribute page.
Changes
The dictionary and these terms may change as the project grows; the version in force at the time governs your use.
