Today, using the dictionary needs no account and we collect no personal information about you. This may change as the project grows, and we'll update this page if it does.

What we collect today

Nothing that identifies you. There are no accounts to sign in to, and we do not currently run advertising or analytics that build a profile of you. Search runs entirely in your browser. The word list is downloaded once and filtered on your device, so your searches are not sent to us.

What may change

This is a growing project and it costs money and time to run. In future we may introduce things such as analytics, or advertising, to help sustain it, and those may involve collecting some data. We reserve the right to do so. If and when we do, we will describe it here, and your continued use of the site will be subject to the version of this notice then in force.

What your browser loads

• The pages and fonts come from our own domain.
• Pronunciation audio, where a word has it, loads on demand from Wikimedia Commons only when you press “Listen”; their servers see that request.

Server logs

Our content delivery network keeps standard, short-lived technical logs (such as the requested URL and a coarse location) to serve the site and protect it from abuse.

Supporting the project

We may offer a voluntary way to support this work (for example a “buy me a coffee” link). If you choose to contribute, the payment is handled by that third-party provider under their own terms, and we don't see your card details.

Your settings

Your theme and text-size choices are stored only in your own browser and never reach us.
