Sources & licence
This dictionary is built on open lexical data, with every entry linking back to its source.
Sources
- Wiktionary (via the Wiktextract project) is the primary source of headwords, meanings, romanization, etymology, and inflected forms. Licensed CC BY-SA 4.0.
- Wikimedia Commons provides native-speaker pronunciation recordings (Lingua Libre), used where available, under their respective free licences.
- mlmorph (Swathanthra Malayalam Computing) is the open morphology engine that generates the inflection tables and lets us resolve an inflected word to its root. Marked on each entry where used.
Licence
The word meanings come from Wiktionary and carry its CC BY-SA 4.0 licence, so that source content stays reusable under those terms (attribution and share-alike), exactly as it was open to us. What we've added (the curation, the generated inflection tables, and the site itself) is our own work. Please build on the open sources and add your own value rather than scraping or mirroring this site. See the terms of use.
